Become a foster carer with New Life Fostering in Birmingham

Birmingham is the second-largest city in the UK after London. Birmingham is also home to the largest local authority in Europe. It is located centrally and has easy access to other West Midland areas such as Coventry, Leicester, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Walsall. There is a high demand for foster carers to meet the needs of foster children and young people in this region and it is increasing.

New Life Fostering was established in 2012 in response to the need for a prompt and reliable service providing foster care to children and young people in need, especially those from across the West Midlands.

We currently provide services to over 20 local authorities across the West Midlands. We are a member of CoramBAAF, The Fostering Network and a part of the West Midlands Fostering Framework. As a growing independent fostering agency, we provide high-quality family placements to children and young people in our care and offer competitive foster care allowances and benefits to foster carers.

Because of the increasing need for foster carers in the Birmingham area, we are eager to discuss fostering with potential new applicants or existing foster carers who wish to transfer. We are dedicated to recruiting foster carers who are based local to Birmingham in order to support and meet the needs of children and young people who originate from Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Our registered office is in Erdington, Birmingham and we have a committed team of staff. We understand and are committed to providing local support to foster carers which includes:

  • Regular support from supervising social workers
  • Foster carer support groups and forums
  • Days trips out for you and the children living with you
  • Support worker input to help you maintain placement stability
  • Children’s support groups & activities
